Required: Pencil, Paper and Hand Plane
The correct use
and maintenance of these essential tools will be covered in depth. Bring
in your own plane and learn how to tune it up. You'll learn about
flattening the sole, adjusting the chip breaker, sharpening and

Plane Demonstration: From Clark and Williams to Lie-Nielsen

Robert will
demonstrate round and hollows, smoothers, fore planes, and tongue and
groove planes from Clark and Williams. This will include discussions
on 18th century woodworking. Working forward to the evolution of
modern planes, Robert presents a demonstration on tuning Stanley and
Millers Falls bench planes. The series of demonstrations will
conclude with Lie-Nielsen specialty planes for furniture makers. The
Lie-Nielsen beading tool, cabinet makers bench plane, cabinet makers block
plane, and the cabinet makers scrapper plane will be presented.
